Gilkatho Coffee Showroom
In the wake of Brisbane’s January floods we were asked to restore this showroom space for our great friends and favorite coffee suppliers at Gilkatho. Our response was a simple, high impact interior with the ability to be readily used for office, showroom, service and meeting functions. The result is a flexible space centred around spot-lit system furniture and fine Swiss coffee making devices.
In this cost effective, high impact interior emphasis was placed on creating a flexible learning environment that would encourage student access to a range of learning tools while ensuring the environment remained conducive to personal study. The result is a suite of linked spaces which can be opened or closed down to create acoustic privacy or exam security while allowing through visibility and daylighting to all spaces. Custom joinery, lighting and acoustically absorbent low-VOC finishes are used selectively.
